127,000 Acres protected on Plateau

November 26th, 2007 By Scot Quaranda
Protected! 127,000 woodland acres on the northern Cumberland Plateau adding acreage to Frozen Head
State Park. This important conservation action in a Dogwood
Alliance focal area builds off of our work highlighting the ecological
importance of the region with large paper consumers as well as Bowater's 2005
commitments resulitng in improved forest
practices on the ground. Happy
holidays! This is a wonderful gift to
our region.
