In late August, we met with IP executives and procurement foresters to chart our route forward. This is where the rubber hits the road, and Dogwood is working hard to make sure our important agreement with IP delivers on its promise.
Recently I went to Chicago, Illinois for training on the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) which has become the most used sustainability reporting framework for companies to measure and report their sustainability performance. We share the non-profit GRI’s belief that this kind of reporting done transparently and with accountability can drive progress in corporate sustainability.

Some of the largest forest industry lobby organizations, including the National Alliance of Forest Owners and the US Wood Pellet Industrial Association are organizing a coordinated effort to counter Dogwood Alliance and NRDC’s work to stop the large-scale burning of Southern forests for electricity.
