Dogwood Alliance coming back to Decatur, GA in April PDF Print E-mail

Kick off a week of Earth Day celebrations Saturday April 12th from 12-6pm in Decatur, Ga. on the Old Courthouse Square.

The music line up looks great! Blueground Undergrass is one of Atlanta's favorite bands, kicking down bluegrass instumentation with fearless jazz and rock grooves. Jeff Hix and the Heritics return along with Stop, Drop and Roll . These folks had everyone boogie-ing on the square last year. Bobby Miller returns with a new group of old friends called Virginia Dare Devils. And we are pleased to welcome, all new to the festivities, No River City and Bolder Monkey. Much gratitude to these fine musicians for joining the effort to protect Southern forests!

The Festival will celebrate the successes of the Dogwood Alliance with fantastic live music, excellent beer and delicious organic, local and fair-trade food, coffee and produce – all brought to you by our great local sponsors: Tree Sound Studio, Terrapin Beer Company, Bleu Sable Designs , KChocolat , Eddie's Attic , The Brickstore Pub, Java Monkey, Decatur CD, the Raging Burrito and Classic Tents .

New this year for kids of all ages a Public Art piece will be created from recycled materials.

Music starts at 12 Noon this year so plan on having lunch on the Old Courthouse Square in downtown Decatur, GA on Saturday April 12, 2008.
