From Atlanta's Big Chicken PDF Print E-mail

A visit to Atlanta’s famous KFC “Big Chicken” helps launch our "No Free Refills" Campaign!
big_chicken_sm.jpgThis morning Dogwood Alliance continued the launch of the No Free Refills campaign to transform fast food packaging and protect Southern Forests with a visit to Atlanta’s famous KFC “Big Chicken” It’s a big chicken! While you can’t tell from this photo, the chicken’s eyes roll around in their sockets and the beak opens and closes. I’ve got to say it is pretty cool.

Despite the un-Atlanta like frigid temps and cold drizzle we delivered our message that Southern forests are too important to be wasted for Fast Food packaging and that the fast food companies must make responsible choices.

Tomorrow, the message moves on to Charlotte.

Everyone here in Atlanta says “Southern forests are too important to be wasted for Fast Food packaging.” And, if anyone knows of where we can find a giant taco somewhere around the Queen City, please let me know!

For the forests,

Andrew
