Bonnnaroo 2008 Update PDF Print E-mail
Bonnaroo helped us save Southern forests!

Along with 80,000 other fine folks, eight Dogwooders criss-crossed 700 dusty acres in Tennessee summer heat for four days to experience an awesome amount of music, dancing, and assorted fried foods as we spread the word about our power as consumers to hold corporations accountable for their reckless exploitation of our vital Southern forests. We talked to thousands of fellow forest lovers about our current campaign to confront fast food companies who are turning our Southern forests into paper packing. Considering the 96 paper mills in the South alone, the packaging decisions of these corporations have a tremendous impact on our forests. Thanks to the thousands of our fabulous Bonnaroo friends who joined us in challenging fast food companies to change their disposable habits! The pictures we took of our fellow forest lovers next to our "I <3 Southern Forests" speech bubble will be posted soon!! Find out how you can take action, too!

Did you know that there is a fast food junky near you? The "11 Fast Food Junkies" are buying their paper packaging from Southern forests, and if you're getting this email it's probably because at some point or another you've agreed with me that our forests are much too important to be wasted for fast food packaging…
