Moving along with OfficeMax... PDF Print E-mail
Dogwood Alliance Blog

Remember the last call-in day to OfficeMax? After all of the calls from around the country, the Director of Environmental Affairs at OfficeMax, sent you know who an email with a request to meet with our negotiating team! When we first launched the campaign ten months ago, we knew that because of you—members, activists and friends—we could move OfficeMax over the goal line with an environmental policy that meets the standard across the office supply company sector and results in real protection of our southern forests .

We were right...

We are now in the midst of earnest negotiations at the highest levels of the company because of the grassroots pressure from you and the rest of the Dogwood Alliance crew. Nevertheless, it’s not over until it’s over, so stay tuned for either:

a) Another victory for the forests or…

b) Another call for your energy and commitment to Southern forests.

It was your help on through with the “days of action” , postcards, phone calls, press hits, media coverage , flyering, and questioning the CEO and other board members that we are here today. Because of our people power, their corporate ears are listening and our negotiating team rests assured that we can hold the bar and move OfficeMax to take on a leadership role in the office supply sector and in protecting forests of the Southern U.S….

Stay tuned…
