From left to right: Christian, Kimala, Shannon & Tyson

2015 is already an exciting year for Dogwood Alliance! We’ve seen exponential growth on our campaigns, particularly on Our Forests Aren’t Fuel, fighting back against European utility companies that want to burn Southern US forests for electricity. We’ve also made huge strides in our collaboration with paper companies to encourage and measure their sustainability in the woods while protecting forests as carbon sinks in the South.

to protect the most forests through strong and efficient work, we’ve added a few new faces to the team.

Please welcome:

Tyson, our new Program Director, brings his program management and his sucessful campaign track record to the mix, helping to take Dogwood to the next level.

Kimala is our very first Marketing Associate, and she offers her impressive graphic design skills, creativity and social media savvy to share the mission of protecting Southern forests.

Shannon, our first ever Advancement Director, helps us integrate development and communications, using her deep knowledge of fundraising and marketing as well as her background in management to encourage more folks to invest in the future of Southern forests.

Christian is our new Director of Finance and Operations, contributing his keen systems and finacial management skills as well as his human resources experience to keep Dogwood on the cutting edge of organizational administration.

Please say hello to Christian, Shannon, Kimala and Tyson! Their expertise, strategic thinking, energy and dedication to Southern forests are priceless assets to the critical work of Dogwood Alliance.
