You know how important forests and food are to our future, but the biomass industry and big agriculture apparently didn’t get the memo. To address this unfortunate state of affairs, Dogwood Alliance and Mighty Earth are teaming up to make sure they get the message that we all #Stand4Forests and that Forests + Food ≠ Fuel!
Join us for a 30-minute screening of the documentary Burned: Are Trees the New Coal? and a presentation on the impact of biofuels on our forests. Then learn about the Stand4Forests resolution, SR108, that is currently awaiting action in the Georgia Senate, and how YOU can make a real difference in getting it passed.
Last year, the Stand4Forests movement, a bold vision for forest protection in the US, launched with the support of over 200 organizations, scientists, and elected officials. The heart of the Stand4Forests movement is here in Georgia, and we are united in our belief that forests are the bedrock of strong and safe communities, thriving local economies, a stable climate, and a livable planet.
Bring a friend for this discussion and give them a chance to make a difference too!

Can’t make the event? You can still help. Take the #Stand4Forests pledge and call YOUR Georgia State Senator and tell them to support SR108.
For our forests,
Georgia State Coordinator
