How to Meet Your Legislator training

Join our training to learn everything from setting your meeting, to preparing and knowing what to expect, having the meeting itself, and the follow-up.

You’ll learn from a diverse panel of elected officials including Rep. Becky Evans (District 83), Clarkston Mayor and former Executive Director of the Georgia Sierra Club, Ted Terry, and Pine Lake City Council Councilwoman, Brandy Hall. Their combined experiences of meeting with constituents will give you insight about how you, too, can have an effective conversation with your legislator!

Meeting with your elected officials is a critical way to influence the legislative process. Representatives are more likely to support positions that their constituents feel strongly about, and there is no better way to display your passion for an issue than by taking the time to have that face-to-face meeting.

Our training will take away all the guesswork and make it simple. Heavy appetizers and beverages will be provided, so join us for a great evening of eats and activism!
