For 20 years, Dogwood Alliance has stood with the forests and people of the South. Based in the mountains of Asheville, North Carolina, Dogwood has transformed the forestry and paper-buying practices of some of the largest companies in the world. Today we work at the international level to stop the burning of Southern forests for European electricity.

Looking ahead to the next 20 years, Dogwood Alliance is building a vision and a movement to protect 35 million acres of wetland forests across the South. Despite their beauty and life-sustaining magic, these forests are largely unprotected. Working together, we can and we will change that.

You are what makes the work of protecting our Southern forests possible. Come celebrate all that we’ve done and all the amazing things we have yet to do together.
