JC Woodley Memorial Fellowship for Storytelling in Environmental Justice
Are you interested in making a difference in the world of climate and social justice? Consider joining Dogwood Alliance this summer as our Documentary Fellow. The JC Woodley Fellowship will give you valuable environmental justice movement experience.
As a Documentary Fellow, you will:
- produce a video documentary related to an environmental justice issue
- design and execute an environmental justice lesson plan for children ages 6-12. They are participants of the Horizons program in Asheville, NC. You will be a mentor to students in the Black Student Union (Asheville).
- deepen your understanding of the environmental justice movement in the Southern US
This fellowship opportunity is a 12-week fixed-length project. It is full-time (35 hours per week). Fellows will receive a living wage of $20.00 per hour for their work. Learn more and apply here.
Volunteer Opportunities
We have volunteer opportunities to share with you so you can share your love for Southern forests. At Dogwood Alliance, we count on our volunteers to help us make a big impact for Southern forests and communities. Volunteers are involved at every level of the organization. Our projects include research, campaigning, outreach and media. Or help with fundraising and organizational management. It doesn’t matter whether you are new to environmental campaigning or a seasoned veteran. If you are serious about protecting forests, Dogwood has space for you.
